10 - 12pm. To avoid too many people taking part at once entrants will be allocated 'waves'. Some waves will be running waves and others will be set aside for those who want to walk around the course. If you enter by entry form, we will asign you a wave. If you enter online, you'll be able to enter the wave you want at a time that suits you best. Please turn up in good time to run in your 'wave', we suggest 45 mins before you are due to start. There will be approximately 400 people running / walking in each wave throughout the day.

Information

There will be an information point at the Start in case you have any last minute questions. There is no need to register when you turn up.

How To Get There

By Car

From Liverpool city centre

Follow signs for the A580 (East Lancs Road). After traveling approx. 5 miles from the city centre turn right onto Dwerryhouse Lane (signposted for Croxteth Hall & Country Park). Enter the park gates at the Muirhead Avenue roundabout.

From the north

From the M6, join the M58, then the M57. Leave the M57 at junction 4 (M57/A580), taking the A580 towards Liverpool. After travelling approx. 2 miles towards the city centre turn left onto Dwerryhouse Lane (signposted for Croxteth Hall & Country Park). Enter the park gates at the Muirhead Avenue roundabout.

From the east

Follow road signs from the end of the M62. Join the Ring Road (A5058) to Bootle. After approx. 3 miles turn right onto Muirhead Avenue (signposted for Croxteth Hall and Country Park). Enter the park gates at the Muirhead Avenue roundabout.

From the west

Follow the M57 to junction 4 (M57 / A580). Take the A580 towards Liverpool. After travelling approx. 2 miles towards the city centre turn left onto Dwerryhouse Lane (signposted for Croxteth Hall & Country Park). Enter the park gates at the Muirhead Avenue roundabout.

Disabled parking

When at the Muirhead Avenue roundabout at the Park Main Gates - do not go into the Park – instead turn left into Oak Lane (signposted for the Conference Centre and Disabled Entrance). At the traffic lights (200m), turn right into Croxteth Hall Lane. The entrance is ½ mile along Croxteth Hall Lane, on your left, shortly after a hump-backed bridge. Please park in the Conference car park near to the Hall. Cars displaying a valid blue badge may use this car park close to the Hall. For further information telephone - 0151 233 6910

Course

The course has been measured and the run / walk will be an accurate 5k. The park is flat with only the odd slight slope to conquer. You'll run on a mixture of concrete, dirt track and grass throughout the run.

First Aid

Medical support will be present at the finish. You should be relatively fit and have no known medical conditions. Please note - do not run with a cold or flu as this can be extremely dangerous.

Toilets

Are in the start area.

Timing

As this is a fun run / walk, no times will be given or recorded, however, there will be a colour-coded race clock for each wave ensuring that you will be able to see your time as you cross the line.

Water

Water will be available at the finish. Please make sure that you bring enough water to drink prior to the start and turn up to the event fully hydrated.

Hot Food & Drink

Will be available for purchase at the event.

Bins

Are provided for your rubbish. The park is beautiful - please help us keep it that way by taking your rubbish with you or placing in in the bins provided.

T-shirts & Medals

These will be given to all finishers at the finish line

There are no individual prizes

What to Wear?

Clothing

The weather could be very warm. We recommend that you wear a technical (synthetic) T-shirt or vest and shorts to run in.

Footwear

Running shoes are recommended for comfort and protection. Feel free to walk in a comfortable pair of shoes.

Fitness

Baggage & Changing

There will not be a baggage or changing marquee at the start. We are trying to keep costs down to a minimum so we hope you'll understand. Bags should be left securely in your vehicle or with family or friends traveled by car, it will be safer to leave your bags.
