This is the first year of the event and we are hoping to inspire and motivate 2,000 men, women and children to take part. With your help, we can get there - tell your friends!
We want to encourage everyone to enter. If you want to walk all the way, feel free to.
The vast majority of people entering will not be serious runners. Please don't worry, there will be plenty of people to keep you company. Liverpool United Run for Rhys is all about taking part.
As early as possible please. We would like enough time to safely send you the race number and race information.
This is for Health and Safety reasons. Croxteth Park is beautiful but the paths are not that wide. By safely running (or walking) 400 people at a time at half hour intervals, we can accommodate all competitors throughout the day in a safe manner.
We have assigned some Waves to be running/jogging only and others to be walking or walk/jog waves. This is to try and ensure that those who want to run all the way will not be held up by groups of people walking in front of them.
As soon as you enter, we'll assign you and your family / friends a Wave. Details will be posted out to you within 2 weeks of your entry along with the information pack and competitors number.
Sorry, you can't. For Health and Safety reasons we need to make sure that our races do not go over their capacity and we also need to know who you are in case of a problem. We also need to ensure that we have enough water and t-shirts with us!
Click here to enter online or download the entry form from this website.
This website is on a secure server. The online transactional area is completely safe and secure. We are totally committed to your safety and privacy
When you enter online, you will be sent a confirmation number by email. Your name or names get added to the event database for Health & Safety reasons. Our entry co-ordinator will then send your number or numbers along with instruction information out in the post to you.
That's absolutely fine. Just make sure your friends or family pay you back!
There is no maximum age limit and you will need to be 14 or over to compete in the 5k. You will also need to be 18 or over to use the online entry procedure.
UK Athletic rules state that young runners must be at least 14 years of age to run a 5k. Children under this age must run / walk with a parent or guardian who must take full responsibility for their child or children.
Don't panic - you're in. It might be a computer glitch or postal problem. Our entry coordinator will send the race numbers out within a week of receiving order. If you do not receive your pack after three weeks, please contact us at runforrhys@liverpoolecho.co.uk.

Has it been three weeks since entering? If so, contact us but don't panic, a cashed cheque or confirmation email means that you have a confirmed entry.

Competitors sometimes say that they've changed address since entering or that they live in a huge block of flats and their post goes missing. Why not get your number sent to your workplace as it is probably more secure?
You should not run if ill or injured for your own safety. You cannot give your number to someone else in your place. This is for insurance reasons.
Sorry but we cannot give refunds. From the moment we start to organise the event we start to incur costs and your entry fee is invested into the cost of staging the event - barriers, toilets, marquees, staff, etc. As your money is used to stage the event, we cannot offer refunds.
No. They can't for health & safety and insurance reasons. We need to know exactly who you are via your number incase of an emergency.
Aim to get there at 45 minutes before the start of your Wave. This will leave enough time to park and allows you enough time to prepare.
No. Just turn up and we'll call your Wave to the start area via our PA system.
We would welcome you to.
Yes, you can but please be aware that the surface varies around the park. The early stages are on a stony path, the middle stage on road and the closing stage is on grass.
Yes, feel free.
Liverpool Unites is a fun event so we will not be taking official times, however, there will be clocks at the finish that will correspond to your Wave so you will be able to see your own time as you finish.
Comfortable clothing and footwear is important. If you intend to jog or run, we recommend you wear footwear design for that purpose otherwise you risk injury.
Please note - no dogs, skateboarding, rollerblading, cycling etc, will be allowed on the course for health and safety reasons.
